BACKGROUND:
Public Works requested bids for a unit-price contract for the demolition and reconstruction of the existing deck roadway bridge over Cooper Lake Creek. Five (5) bids were received as follows:
Baldwin Paving Co. Inc. $1,053,557.65
Massana Construction, Inc. $1,166,125.00
Tidwell Construction Co. $1,209,131.75
Kiewitt Infrastructure South Co. $1,582,837.00
J. G. Leone Enterprises, Inc. $1,590,761.00
This project is managed by Croy Engineering, LLC.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:
Public Works, Purchasing and Croy Engineering recommend this project be awarded to the lowest bidder Baldwin Paving Co. Inc. 1014 Lenmill Drive N.W., Marietta, Ga. 30060, in the amount of $1,053,557.65 funded by 2016 SPLOST and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
