BACKGROUND: Public Works Requested Bids for the 2016 SPLOST Windy Hill Blvd Project, Water and Sewer modifications improvements. Ten contractors purchased the bid plans and two bids were received. The
low bidder is RDJE Inc. in the amount of $4,276,185.50.

This project was not previously budgeted. We recommend funding through a combination of reductions in FY 2020 Water CIP ($1,257,592.94), transfers in from the Water and Sewer Fund ($1,000,000) and use of Water CIP/ R&E ($2,018,592.56) fund balance
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works, Croy Engineering and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend this project be awarded to the lowest bidder RDJE Inc. 679 HWY 29 South Newnan,Georgia 30263 for $4,276,185.50 and authorize the Mayor to execute all related documents and amend the budget accordingly.
