Approval to Adopt Resolution 2018-04 revising the borders of the Smyrna Market Village Restaurant District.

Body

ISSUE:  Revision of the Smyrna Market Village Restaurant District as defined in RES 2018-01 to include area extending to Village Green Circle.

BACKGROUND:  As defined in the amendment to Sec 6-46 “Carry-in prohibited” of the City of Smyrna Code of Ordinances, the carry-out of alcoholic beverages is only authorized in areas that are designated as a Restaurant District by a resolution from Mayor and Council.

This resolution revises the borders of the Smyrna Market Village Restaurant District to include neighboring restaurants, including the area that extends from Village Green Circle between King St SE and Atlanta Rd SE to the Smyrna Market Village area.

The following businesses were made aware of these proposed changes on April 13: The Corner Tacqueria, Atkins Park Tavern, Vintage Tavern, Zucca Bar and Pizzeria, Cafe Lucia, Smyrna Beer Market, Vineyard Wine Market, and Porch Light Latin Kitchen.
