Approval to Adopt Resolution 2018-12 designating Belmont as a Restaurant District.

ISSUE: Designation of Belmont as a Restaurant District as defined in ORD 2018-08.
BACKGROUND: As defined in the amendment to Sec 6-46 “Carry-in prohibited” of the City of Smyrna Code of Ordinances, the carry-out of alcoholic beverages is only authorized in areas that are designated as a Restaurant District by a resolution from Mayor and Council.
This resolution defines the area that represents Belmont to include the area between Windy Hill Road, Atlanta Road, Fleming Street, and Belmont Place and includes the 400 Belmont apartment complex, the Shops at Belmont, and the Village of Belmont homes.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Staff recommends approval.
