ISSUE: Authorize Parks and Recreation to replace scheduled vehicles (2005 Ford F-250 SD and 2002 Ford SD) with two (2) Ford F-250 for Maintenance Tech and for Transport/Towing using the City of Atlanta contract # 10590-WS for a total of $66,797.00 and authorize the mayor the execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Parks and Recreation Department have two trucks on the vehicle replacement list for FY19 listed as 2005 Ford F-250 SD (Parks Dump Truck) and 2002 Ford Super Duty (Parks Dump Truck). The Department has reviewed this list and recommends the purchase of one (1) Ford F-250 with utility bed and one (1) Ford F-250 for transport and Towing. The vehicles will be purchased from Wade Ford located at 3860 South Cobb Drive using City of Atlanta contract # 10590-WS. The vehicles have already been competitively bid through this contract.
Ford F-250 with utility bed for maintenance: $32,225.00
Ford F-250 for transport and towing: $34,572.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Parks and Recreation and Finance have reviewed the contract and recommend the purchase of the two (2) Ford F-250 trucks from Wade Ford located at 3860 South Cobb Drive under City of Atlanta contract # 10590-WS for a total of $66,797.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
