ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:  The design for the tunnel lighting on Windy Hill Blvd was recently completed by Mr. Dustin R. Young of Georgia Power.  There will be a total of 280 fixtures (24 - 230 watt Wall Pack and 256 - 340 watt Wall Pack) to make up the tunnel lighting for the project and the total estimated cost comes to $443,926.00 which will be paid out of the 2016 SPLOST.  In order to move forward and secure the quoted pricing of materials, Council approval is required so that the agreement may be executed and the project can move forward.

 

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Approval of the Lighting Services Agreement with Georgia Power for tunnel lighting on Windy Hill Blvd in the amount of $443,926.00 to be paid out of 2016 SPLOST and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
