ISSUE: Approval to close Riverview Road for two weeks between Nichols Drive and Dickerson Drive to facilitate the safe construction of the proposed utility crossing and road re-alignment.
BACKGROUND: Planners and Engineers are requesting that Riverview Road be closed to through traffic between Nichols Drive and Dickerson Drive for a two week duration to facilitate the safe construction of proposed utilities and re-alignment. Due to poor soil conditions, conflicts with Colonial Pipe and bridging needed to facilitate such conditions to enable safe travel through the area a closure is needed.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works Staff have reviewed the request and detour routes and recommend approval with proper public notification to close Riverview Road for two weeks between Nichols Drive and Dickerson Drive to facilitate the safe construction of the proposed utility crossing and road re-alignment.
