Title
Authorize the City of Smyrna to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Cobb County with respect to the sharing responsibility of both the City and County in the water quality data collected under our National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, NPDES, and authorize the Mayor to execute this Intergovernmental Agreement.

ISSUE: Authorize the City of Smyrna to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Cobb County with respect to the sharing responsibility of both the City and County in the water quality data collected under our National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, NPDES, and authorize the Mayor to execute this Intergovernmental Agreement.
BACKGROUND: Georgia EPD requests as part of our storm water permit and reporting and data collection in our NPDES permit to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the County to share and collect water quality date as needed since the streams and tributaries both governments collect and test from cross in and out of our boundaries.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works Staff and Legal staff have reviewed the Intergovernmental Agreement and recommend the City of Smyrna enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Cobb County with respect to the sharing responsibility of both the City and the County in the water quality data collected under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System, NPDES, and authorize the Mayor to execute this Intergovernmental Agreement.
