ISSUE: Change the fee schedule to reflect new rentals fees for athletic fields and complexes. Add the rental fees for the Reed House. Authorize the mayor to execute any related documents. Proposed schedule of fees is attached.
BACKGROUND: Currently the fee schedule is set up on a per hour price basis for all field rentals. The proposed fee schedule break down the rentals into single field and complex rentals with required fees to have maintenance personnel on site during rental. An increase to a 2 hour minimum is also proposed for single field rentals and complex rentals are on a per day basis. The proposed changes also require a pre paid sports lighting fee.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: These proposed Field rental changes have been reviewed by both the Finance Committee and the Parks and Recreation Committee. The Reed House fees have been reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Committee. The staff recommendation is to approved the proposed changes to the fee schedule for athletic field and complex rentals and to approve the addition of the proposed rental fees for the Reed House. It is also recommended that the City Council authorize the mayor to execute any related documents.
