ISSUE:  Bid award RFP 15-009 Street Resurfacing Work to the lowest bidder C.W. Matthews Contracting for $2,069,691.45 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
 
BACKGROUND:  Public Works requested bids for additional street resurfacing throughout the city. Three vendors submitted bids as follows:
 
C.W. Matthews Contracting                             $2,069,691.45
Baldwin Paving Company                                $2,232,172.00
Stewart Brothers                                                $2,351,826.75
 
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  Public Works and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend Mayor and Council award RFP 15-009 Street Resurfacing Work to the lowest bidder C.W. Matthews Contracting for $2,069,691.45 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
