ISSUE:Award RFP 15-042 Knuckle Boom Trash Loader to the second lowest bidder, Consolidated Disposal , meeting specifications for $129,312.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.

 

BACKGROUND:  Public Works requested bids for the replacement of one Knuckle Boom Trash Loader for the Sanitation Department. Three vendors submitted bids as follows.

 

Consolidated Disposal                                    $129,312.00          Met Specifications

Rush Truck Centers                                          $126,067.00          Did Not Meet Specifications

Peach State Freightliner                                  $141,064.00          Did Not Meet Specifications

 

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  Public Works and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFP 15-042 Knuckle Boom Trash Loader to the second lowest bidder Consolidated Disposal, meeting specifications for $129,312.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
