ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

Application for privilege licenses for Nadia, LLC dba 5 Points Food Store for the sale of beer (retail package). Nadia, LLC is the owner and Goutam Debnath is the agent applicant.

 

Goutam Debnath will be the registered agent responsible for the sale of alcohol at 1649 Roswell Street SE.  Mr. Debnath has been given a copy of the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance and attended the mandatory alcohol awareness workshop.

 

A background investigation conducted by the Smyrna Police Department failed to reveal information that would preclude issuance of this license. Goutam Debnath has agreed to abide by the guidelines set forth by the City of Smyrna ordinance governing the sale of alcohol.

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: 

 Recommend approval of privilege license for the sale of beer (retail package) for Nadia, LLC dba 5 Points Food Store with Goutam Debnath as the registered agent.
