ISSUE: Authorize the temporary road closure of Riverview Road between Nichols Dr. and Freeman Pkwy. for the weekend of May 18, 2018 through May 20, 2018 with a backup date for the weekend of June 1, 2018 through June 3, 2018 from 7pm Friday to 5pm Sunday for the final relocation and elevation change to the roadway to accommodate the Riverview Landing Project.
BACKGROUND: Planners and Engineers is requesting this temporary road closure to facilitate the final relocation and elevation change of the existing roadway. They have met with the CBIA and Cobb DOT for the appropriate timing and detour plan for this temporary closure.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works staff has reviewed this request and detour plan and recommend Mayor and Council authorize the temporary road closure of Riverview Road between Nichols Dr. and Freeman Parkway for the weekend of May 18, 2018 through May 20, 2018 with a backup date for the weekend of June 1, 2018 through June 3, 2108 from 7pm Friday to 5pm Sunday for the final relocation and elevation changes to the roadway to accommodate the Riverview Landing Project.
