ISSUE: Annual selection and/or renewal of employee benefits
BACKGROUND: Every fall, the city must re-evaluate and select its insurance plans and providers for Employee Benefits. Our consultant/broker, Marsh & McLennan Agency (Guy Morrision) solicited bids through an RFP. Based on the results, it is recommended that the City renew with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of GA for the medical coverage and Guardian for all other products (dental, vision, city-paid life/AD&D, short-term and long-term disability).
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Recommendation: No change to plan design or employee contribution %. Requested action: Approval of providers Blue Cross/Blue Shield of GA for medical coverage and Guardian for dental, vision, Life/AD&D, short-term and long-term disability.
