ISSUE: Bid Award RFP 14-027 Atlanta Road Median Landscape to TruGreen Landcare for $56,109.45 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the installation of landscape material for the medians on Atlanta Road between Church Street and Fleming Street. The landscape design was prepared by ARCADIS. The design was reviewed by the City Arborist and the City Tree Board. Slight modifications were suggested by both the Arborist and Tree Board and were incorporated into the design documents. Thirteen vendors were solicited for bids with one responding as follows:
TruGreen Landcare $56,109.45
This vendors bid amount is within $2,000.00 of staff cost estimate.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works staff and Purchasing have reviewed the bid documents and recommend Mayor and Council award RFP 14-027 Atlanta Road Median Landscape to TruGreen Landcare for $56,109.45 and authorize the Mayor to execute any elated documents.
