ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:  Approval to purchase a 2021 Kenworth T880 Tandem Axle Dump Truck with 7 year 200K mile engine and after care treatment warranty .The Vehicle will be purchased using the Georgia State Contract # SPD0000155 / 081716-KTC from MHC Kenworth Atlanta 5860 Riverview Road Mableton Georgia 30126 for a total cost of $151,587.00. The Public Works Department budgeted in the FY21 Vehicle replacement fund for replacement of a 2003 Ford F-650 and a 2003 Ford F-750 combined to purchase one 2021 Kenworth T880 Tandem Axle Dump truck. This vehicle has already been competitively bid through this contract.

 

 

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  The Public Works Director, Fleet Manager and Purchasing Department Manger recommend approval to purchase a 2021 Kenworth T880 Tandem Axle Dump Truck with 7 year 200K mile engine and after care treatment warranty at a cost of 151,587.00 funded in the FY21 vehicle replacement fund and purchase through MHC Kenworth Atlanta using State of Georgia # SPD0000155 / 081716 - KTC
