ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

In partnership, the Vineyard Wine Market and Smyrna Public Safety Foundation are requesting closure of a portions of W. Spring St. around the pavilion for a private Jazz Under the Gazebo Event on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 7:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. The event will feature live jazz music from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.; a wine, beer and specialty cocktail tasting; catered food from a local Smyrna restaurant; and silent auction.

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Staff recommends authorization for street closures and council approval to serve beer and wine in the lower Market Village around the pavilion (see map for proposed location) on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 7:00 a.m. -11:00 p.m. for a Jazz Under the Gazebo private event of the Vineyard Wine Market in partnership with the Smyrna Public Safety Foundation.
