ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
Public Works recommends removing the ERU (Energy Recovery Unit) from City Hall. The ERU is supposed to pull cooler air in and save on electrical costs. The system hasn’t worked in years and replacing with electrical louvers will work more efficiently. MaxAir will complete this work based on our piggyback contract with Cobb County. MaxAir provides all inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems throughout the city.

Remove existing ERU and replace with custom made louvers that work with existing HVAC/heating components and controls recently installed by MaxAir.
RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION: It is the recommendation of Purchasing and Public Works for approval for the removal and replacement of the Energy Recovery Unit (ERU) at City Hall by MaxAir Mechanical (814 Livingston Court, Marietta, GA, 30067) in the amount of $36,968.00 which will be paid for out of the Green Energy Fund and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
