ISSUE:  Award RFP 16-023 Brentwood Drive Storm Drain Replacement to the lowest bidder Tucker Grading and Hauling for $123,503.73 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.

 

BACKGROUND:  Public works requested bids for the replacement of approximately 251 feet of 36" deteriorated corrugated metal storm sewer and approximately 24 feet of 18" deteriorated corrugated storm sewer. Five vendors submitted bids as follows:

 

Tucker Grading and Hauling                     $123,503.73

Site Engineering                                        $127,955.00

KM Davis Contracting                               $143,645.00   Did not meet specifications

Chatfield  Contracting                                $146,995.50

Ardito Contracting                                      $165,418.00

 

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  Public Works, Croy Engineering and the Purchasing Department have reviewed the bids and recommended award of RFP 16-023 Brentwood Drive Storm Drain Replacement to the lowest bidder, Tucker Grading and Hauling, for $123,503.73 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
