Approval to Adopt Resolution 2018-13 designating the Jonquil Plaza as a Restaurant District.

ISSUE: Designation of Jonquil Plaza as a Restaurant District as defined in ORD 2018-08.
BACKGROUND: As defined in the amendment to Sec 6-46 “Carry-in prohibited” of the City of Smyrna Code of Ordinances, the carry-out of alcoholic beverages is only authorized in areas that are designated as a Restaurant District by a resolution from Mayor and Council.
This resolution defines the area that represents Jonquil Plaza to include the area from Atlanta Road extending to Spring Road on the south end and the train tracks on the east end.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Staff recommends approval.
