ISSUE AND BACKGROUND

The City of Smyrna is hosting our first annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Saturday, October 2 from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Street closures for the event will begin on Saturday at 8:00 am and continue until 11:59pm. All entry points to Village Green Circle SE will be closed including Village Green Circle SE at Atlanta Rd., Village Green Circle SE at Fuller St., Village Green Circle SE at the Library and Village Green Circle SE at King St; Further King Street will be closed from the intersection at W. Spring St. in front of the Max A. Bacon City Hall sign to Village Green Circle; Bank Street will close just down from Village Walk to King Street.

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Staff recommends approval of Street Closings for October 2, 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration from 8:00am until 11:59pm at all entry points to Village Green Circle SE, along with King Street from Spring Street to Village Green Circle and from Bank Street from Village Walk to King Street.
