ISSUE: Mayor and Council Award RFP 15-001 Building Automation System-Community Center & Library HVAC Controls/DDC Upgrade to the lowest bidder Controls Concepts for $52,860.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the replacement and upgrade of the automated controls systems that operate the HVAC systems at the Community Center and Library. Parts are becoming unavailable for the original controls for the HVAC system and replacement with current technology is needed. Two vendors submitted bids as follows:
Control Concepts $52,860.00
Waypoint Systems $68,500.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works Staff and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend Mayor and Council award RFP 15-001 Building Automation Systems-Community Center & Library HVAC Controls/DDC Upgrade to the lowest bidder Controls Concepts for $52,860.00 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
