Approval of the re-appointment of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) members for a one-year term to begin January 1, 2021 for the following members: Ron Davis, Kevin Drawe, Jim Duelmer, Larry Freeman, Kimberly Gangemi, Dianne Rasin and Jason Saliba, with Mayor Derek Norton serving as Chairman. The term will expire December 31, 2021.

ISSUE / BACKGROUND: The DDA members were renewed for a partial 7-month term in April 2020 in preparation for changing their terms to a regular calendar year running January thru December (the terms were previously April thru April). This re-appointment will complete that process and will now put all members on a regular yearly calendar term.
The Downtown Development Authority is registered with the Department of Community Affairs and is a reported authority for the City of Smyrna. The authority serves a one year term and is appointed by the Mayor and Council.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Staff recommends approval.
