Approval to change precinct boundary and polling location for Smyrna 7A (Griffin Middle School) and 7B (Life Church Smyrna Assembly of God) to be combined to one precinct voting location at Life Church Smyrna Assembly of God. Griffin Middle School will no longer be a precinct polling location.

ISSUE: The Cobb County Election Board has recommended to combine the voters precincts of Smyrna 7A located at Griffin Middle School, 4040 King Springs Road, Smyrna GA 30082 and the voters of Smyrna Smyrna 7B located at Life Church Smyrna Assembly of God, 4100 King Springs Road, Smyrna GA 30082. Voters being moved to the new combined precinct Smyrna 7A will now vote at Life Church Smyrna Assembly of God, 4100 King Springs Road, Smyrna, GA 30082. The Board of Elections and Registration held a public hearing on July 13, 2015 at 4:00 PM to hear any objections to this change. The Board of Elections voted to notice the recommendation to combine these voter precincts on July 3, 2015. This change was properly noticed for 2 weeks pusuant to O.C.G.A. Section 21-2-262 (c) and Section 21-2-265 (a) in the legal organ one time weekly to be adopted July 13, 2015 The Cobb County Commissioners adopted this change at their regularly scheduled meeting on July 14, 2015. This change will be effective September 15, 2015
