Award RFP 18-021 for annual financial audit services to the low bidder Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC. in the amount of $28,000 per year and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.

ISSUE:
The current audit contract expired with the conclusion of the FY 2017 audit.
BACKGROUND:
The City had a contract that began with the FY 2013 audit. It was for three years, with the option to extend for an additional two years. The City maintained the relationship with Nicolas, Cauley & Associates, LLC for the entire period.
RFP 18-021 was issued for audit services for FY 2018. The terms were changed for an annual contract with the option to renew annually for five years. Four proposals were received and reviewed by City staff. The proposals were ranked based on qualifications and cost. The cost that was ranked included the annual cost for audit and a fee in the event of a Single Audit. Based on thtechnicalal qualifications and the combined cost it is recommended that the award go to Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC.
