ISSUE: A total of 7 vehicles have been or will be taken out of service in FY16. The replacement vehicles were included in the FY16 Vehicle Replacement Fund
BACKGROUND: The Police Department was authorized $260,000 in the FY16 Vehicle Replacement Fund to replace 7 vehicles that have been or will be taken out of service due to age, mileage, or upon guidance from the fleet manager. The total cost of 7 equipped Ford Explorers is $257,528.80. Said vehicles and equipment will be purchased off of state/county contracts or through cooperative contract pricing. The 7 Explorers are to be purchased from Wade Ford and all necessary equipment from Dell, Insight Public Sector, Grafix, Diversified Electronics and Motorola.
