ISSUE:  The application and map for this event are attached along with a letter of changes.  This event was approved on January 5, 2015 as Village to Village 11K Run Event.  Originally this event was planned to go into Cobb County and cross Cumberland Parkway.  They have decided to stay in Smyrna and not cross over into Cobb County and involve two different jurisdictions.

 

BACKGROUND: 

 

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  The police department has reviewed this application and has provided police coverage for road and lane closures during the run event.
