Approval to Adopt Resolution 2018-14 designating Riverview Landing as a Restaurant District.

ISSUE: Designation of Riverview Landing as a Restaurant District as defined in ORD 2018-08.
BACKGROUND: As defined in the amendment to Sec 6-46 “Carry-in prohibited” of the City of Smyrna Code of Ordinances, the carry-out of alcoholic beverages is only authorized in areas that are designated as a Restaurant District by a resolution from Mayor and Council.
This resolution defines the area that represents Riverview Landing to include the point where the Smyrna City Limits Line intersects the eastern right of way of Riverview Road; then running along the eastern right of way of Riverview Road in a generally northeasterly direction for approximately 1500 feet to a point; then turning and running in a generally southeasterly direction for approximately 300 feet to the Chattahoochee River; then turning and running in a generally southwesterly direction along the Chattahoochee River for a distance of approximately 1250 feet; then turning and running in a generally northwesterly direction along the City Limits Line for a distance of approximately 360 feet where it intersects the easterly right of way of Riverview Road at the point of beginning.
