ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

The Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department hosts the Smyrna Handmade Market on Sundays in Market Village. The Department is seeking approval from Mayor and Council to expand the Smyrna Handmade Market vendor space on Sundays by extending road closures to include a closure at Bank Street and Sunset Street SE and a road closure at City Hall and TAMG Realty on King Street for the duration of the Smyrna Handmade Market this 2022 season. This is the second year of the Smyrna Handmade Market. It has been well received by the community and vendors from around Georgia. Staff recommends approving the extension of the Smyrna Handmade Market space on Sundays.
