ISSUE: A total of 5 (five) Uniform Patrol Vehicles have been or will be taken out of service in FY20. The replacement vehicles were included in the FY20 Vehicle Replacement Fund.
BACKGROUND: The Police Department was authorized the $221,037.70 cost in the FY20 Vehicle Replacement Fund for the replacement of 5 (five) Uniform Patrol vehicles.The vehicles that will be taken out of service are a result of damage sustained in accidents or mileage, or upon guidance from the Fleet Manager. The vehicles and equipment will be purchased using State/County contracts, through cooperative contract pricing, and the grafics from a single source provider who solely owns the grafics artwork. All vehicles will be purchased from Wade Ford, 3860 S Cobb Dr Smyrna Ga 30080 and all necessary equipment from Insight Public Sector, Grafix, and Diversified Electronics.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: The Chief of Police, Staff, and Purchasing Department recommend the purchase.
