ISSUE AND BACKGROUND: 

Over the past several years CDBG funds invested in the city have paid for numerous public improvements; and the City of Smyrna continues being a subrecipient of the Cobb County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Effective December 15, 2021, the Subrecipient Agreement is amended to reflect the changes as noted. All other language, requirements and provisions of the original Subrecipient Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force.

 

The termination date for the agreement, as amended, shall be extended to March 31, 2022.

 

RECOMMENDATION / REQUESTED ACTION:  Administrative and Finance Staff recommend approval of Amendment No. 2 to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Sub Recipient Agreement No: CV20-V20S8 to extend the termination date for the agreement to March 31, 2022 and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents.
