ISSUE: Mayor and Council award Bid 14-023 United Drive to the lowest bidder Lori's Transportation and Excavation for $91,735.02 and authorize the Mayor to execute any associated documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the construction of a right turn lane on United Drive at the intersection with the East-West Connector. This turn lane will relieve traffic backup on United Drive by providing additional stacking and allowing dedicated right turn on red movement. The scope includes installation of curb and gutter, asphalt paving, striping and landscaping.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works staff, Purchasing and Croy Engineering have reviewed the bids and recommend Mayor and Council award RFP 14-023 United Drive to the lowest bidder Lori's Transportation and Excavation for $91,735.02 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related document.
