ISSUE: Bid award RFP 16-002 Village Parkway Improvements award to the lowest bidder Summit Construction and Development Inc. for $624,617.80 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the installation of a multi-use trail on Village Parkway between Spring Road and Windy Hill Road. Project includes installation of sidewalk, curbing and stormwater structures. Five vendors submitted bids as follows:
Summit Construction and Development Inc. $624,617.80
Georgia Development Partners $689,622.86
Vertical Earth Inc. $704.466.04
Ohmshir Construction $708,134.10
Construction 57 Inc. $803,603.50
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works, Purchasing and Croy Engineering have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFP 160-002 Village Parkway Improvements to the lowest bidder, Summit Construction and Development Inc. for $624,617.80 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
