ISSUE AND BACKGROUND:
With the upcoming retirement of current HR Director, Kay Bolick, the City conducted a search for her replacement. Carol Sicard (formerly Carol Lincoln) worked for the City of Smyrna from 1997 - 2012. During this tenure, she progressed up through positions including HR Assistant, Payroll Coordinator, Benefits Coordinator and HR Manager. Carol worked for 3 years as HR Manager under Kay's leadership, before becoming the HR Director for Sandy Springs, a position she has held for 7+ years. With Carol's experience and knowledge of the City of Smyrna operations, HR department and policies/procedures, she makes the ideal candidate to succeed Kay as the next Director.
