ISSUE:
Staff requests the authorization of a contract extension with Zagster, Inc. for the City’s Bike Share program that expired on September 9, 2018. The contract extension will amend the contract end date to end on March 8, 2019.
BACKGROUND:
Zagster, Inc. is planning to partner with Town Center CID, local municipalities, and unincorporated Cobb County to connect the Zagster programs in the area through a regional Cobb County Bike Share Program, with a target re-launch date in spring 2019. Rather than extend the current program for another full year, Zagster is offering a short-term extension for 6 months. The only changes to the contract will be the new end date of March 8, 2019 and a reduced price of $120 per bike per month, down from $130 per bike per month.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:
Staff recommends approval of the contract extension.
