Approve a change order in the amount of $43,852.00 to the contract with Peachtree Construction Services, Inc. for the installation of an elevator and framing for the Reed House project and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all documents.

ISSUE: The ADA compliance work at the Reed House was scheduled to be partially funded by CDBG funds, including the elevator. Due to multiple and significant delays in the review and approval process with CDBG, the contractor can no longer delay or work around the completion and installation of the elevator. Therefore, the City is requesting a change order to the contract so that Peachtree Construction can do the install and framing work on the elevator so the project can continue to move forward. The dollars that were originally funded from CDBG for the elevator will be used for another purpose, either in the exterior site work of the Reed House or an upcoming Parks projects.
