ISSUE:  The alcohol permit applicant was denied on the basis of pending arrest charges in Cobb County from 1/31/17. 

 

BACKGROUND:  The applicant applied for an alcohol pouring/serving permit at the City of Smyrna on March 28, 2017. He noted three items under the question "Have you ever been arrested or convicted of a crime within the last 5 yrs?"  He noted a charge of possession of alcohol by a minor on January 31, 2017, and two other charges for speeding and a toll violation in February 2017.  The former charge is the item on his criminal history that denied his permit.  Supportive documents provided to boardmembers and attached.
