BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for our annual street paving. Six vendors submitted bids as follows:
Bartow Paving Company $846,109.85
Baldwin Paving Company $860,498.81
C.W. Matthews Contracting Company $911,041.50
A&S Paving $967,996.80
Blount Construction Company $992,921.00
Stewart Brothers $1,109,580.25
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Work, Purchasing and Croy Engineering have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFQ 17-027 to the lowest bidder Bartow Paving Company for $846,109.85 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents. Most of the resurfacing will be funded by SPLOST. The repaving of the parking lots at Tolleson and City Hall are CIP.
