ISSUE: Transition of Flexible Spending Account administration from Guardian to WageWorks
BACKGROUND: On April 26, 2017, the City received notification from Guardian that they were transitioning away from administration of flexible spending accounts, effective 6/30/17. Effective 7/1/17, WageWorks would be the new administrator of our account. This transition comes with no fee changes for 1 year. New FSA ("Benny") cards will be sent to all participating employees on or before 7/1/17. WageWorks is the parent company of Conexis, who currently handles our COBRA administration (providing excellent service).
