ISSUE: Award RFP 17-029 Historic Reed House Event Center Site Improvements to the lowest bidder Tucker Grading and Hauling for $246,284.60, funded by SPLOST and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: The City requested bids for the site improvements at the Reed House Event Center. Five vendors submitted bids as follows:
Tucker Grading and Hauling $246,284.60
PE Structures and Associates $324,951.01
Construction 57 Incorporated $360,367.00
JC McDaniel $367,240.00
JHC Corporation $551,788.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works Staff, Purchasing and Croy Engineering have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFP 17-029 Historic Reed House Event Center Site Improvements to the lowest bidder Tucker Grading and Hauling for $246,284.60 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
