Approval to Award RFP 17-024 to Perez Planning, LLC for the City of Smyrna Parks & Recreation Master Plan Consultant in the amount of $89,560.00 to be funded by SPLOST and authorize the Mayor to sign and execute all related documents. This item was on the June 19, 2017 agenda with an incorrect amount in the agenda title. For transparency we put this back on the consent agenda with the correct amount to vote for the correct amount of the Parks Master Plan.

ISSUE: Award proposal, RFP 17-024 to Perez Planning, LLC, and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents, to complete the P&R Master Plan.
BACKGROUND: Parks & Recreation requested proposals for Consultants for the Parks & Recreation Master Plan. There were seven proposals, and a panel of six persons, including Thomas Korver, Tammi Saddler-Jones, Kelsey Scott, Katha Roper, Kelly Brown and Richard Garland, screened and reviewed various criteria for each possible vendor. The selection committee narrowed the consultants to three possibilities, including Lose & Associates, Inc, Perez Planning & Design, LLC and Green Play LLC. City Council representative and Parks Committee Chair, Susan Wilkinson joined the panel for the final presentations and decision. Of the three final presentations, Perez Planning was selected and a price was negotiated. The seven vendors, with fees, consisted of and were ranked as listed by the panel.
