ISSUE: Award The Clifton Road Storm Sewer Rehabilitation Project to the lowest bidder Ardito Construction Company for $82,532.49 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the rehabilitation of storm sewer on Clifton Road near the intersection of Rita Way. This section of roadway has little to no existing storm sewer as the area dates back to the 50"s and 60's. We continue to have rain events that will not stay in the roadway and are jumping the curb and damaging property. Three Vendors submitted bids as follows:
Ardito Construction Company $82,532.49
KM Davis Contracting Company $94,250.00
D&H Construction Company $96,825.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works Staff has reviewed the bids and recommends award to the lowest bidder Ardito Construction Company for $82,532.49 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
