ISSUE:  The alcohol permit applicant was denied on the basis of two DUI arrests (misdemeanors) in his criminal history, which he did disclose on his permit application.

 

BACKGROUND:  The applicant applied for an alcohol pouring permit at the City of Smyrna on August 27, 2017. He noted two items that were arrests or convictions on his record - a DUI in July 2016 (guilty)  and a DUI in February 2017 (pending). He is seeking to serve alcohol at Zucca's Pizzeria.  Supporting documents are redacted and attached.
