Appointment of Scott Andrews as an Alternate Member for the License and Variance Board

ISSUE:
The License and Variance Board needs one additional alternate member and traditionally the Assistant City Administrator has been an Alternate.
BACKGROUND:
The License and Variance Board is made up of three permanent members and alternate members from the City staff. The permanent members are City Administrator Tammi Saddler Jones, Fire Chief Roy Acree, and Public Works Director Scott Stokes. The alternate members serve as substitutes when the permanent members are unable to attend the board meetings. The current alternates, City Engineer Eric Randall and Police Chief David Lee, will remain active. Hence, staff would like to recommend for appointment Assistant City Administrator, Scott Andrews, as additional alternate member for the License and Variance Board.
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:
Staff recommends for appointment Brian Marcos and Mary Wallace Moore as alternate members for the License and Variance Board.
