BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for an intersection improvement at the intersection of Roswell St., Hawthorne Ave. and Mathews Street for the construction of a roundabout. Six vendors submitted bids as follows:

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. Inc. $1,305,817.14

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works, Purchasing and Croy Engineering have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFP 18-013 Roswell Street Roundabout to the lowest bidder, Vertical Earth Inc. 6025 Matt Highway, Cumming Ga. 30028, for $1,039,558.87 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
