BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the replacement of HVAC units at City Hall and the Jail. Four Vendors submitted bids as follows:
Q.T. Contracting Inc dba Powers Heating & Air $380,416.00 W/O Control System $297,677.00
Johnson Controls $421,034.00 W/O Control System $350,620.00
Control Concepts LLC div of Comfort Systems USA Southeast $450,336.06 W/O Control System $403,946.06
J.R. Nichols Company Inc $480,060.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend award to the lowest bidder Q.T. Contracting dba Powers Heating & Air 200 Tiger Way, Peachtree City Georgia 30269 for $297,637.00 without the control system option and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
