ISSUE: Award RFP 18-015 City of Smyrna Resurfacing Projects to the lowest bidder Baldwin Paving 1040 Kenmill Drive Marietta, Ga. 30060 for $879,797.47 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents. 

BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for street resurfacing. Four Vendors submitted bids as follows:

Baldwin Paving Company Inc.                                                   $870,797.47

Stewart Brothers Inc                                                                   $921,714.33

Bartow Paving Company Inc.                                                    $950,783.15

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. Inc.                                         $966,303.07

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  Public Works and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend award of RFP 18-015 City of Smyrna Street Resurfacing Projects to the lowest bidder Baldwin Paving 1040 Kenmill Drive Marietta, Ga. 30060 for $870,797.47 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
