Approve the closing of the following streets for the Smyrna Parks and Recreation’s Easter Carnival and Movie:  King Street from Bank Street to Village Green Circle, entire Village Green Circle from Atlanta Rd. from 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

ISSUE:  Requested street closings are to ensure a safe environment for this Smyrna Parks and Recreation youth-focused event.  Games will be set up in the fountain area in front of the community center; a hay ride around the Village Green traffic circle; inflatables set up in the grassy area along Atlanta Rd and Village Green Circle along with food vendors set up on King Street (across from Veteran’s memorial lawn).   A movie will be shown on the grassy area in front of the Veteran’s memorial.

BACKGROUND:  This is an annual event put on by the Smyrna Parks and Recreation Department.

RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION:  Staff recommends approval of the road closures for this event.
