ISSUE: New application for privilege licenses for Clipper Petroleum Inc. dba Clipper #77 for the sale of beer and wine (retail package). Clipper Petroleum is the owner and Edward Hong is the agent applicant. Edward Hong is currently the agent for Clipper #48 and Clipper #49 which are also located in Smyrna.
BACKGROUND: Edward Hong will be the registered agent responsible for the sale of alcohol at the referenced location. Mr. Hong has been given a copy of the Alcoholic Beverage Ordinance and attended the mandatory alcohol awareness workshop. (Certificate attached)
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: A background investigation conducted by the Smyrna Police Department failed to reveal information that would preclude issuance of this license. Edward Hong has agreed to abide by the guidelines set forth by the City of Smyrna ordinance governing the sale of alcohol. Approval of privilege licenses for the sale of beer and wine (retail package) for Clipper Petroleum Inc. dba Clipper #77 with Edward Hong as the registered agent.
