ISSUE: Award RFP 1234 for construction of a public roadway to Best Construction LLC for $1,300,000.000 and authorize the Mayor to execute any related documents.
BACKGROUND: Public Works requested bids for the construction of a public roadway between South Cobb Drive and Old Concord Road. The roadway will provide congestion relief in the area and access to South Cobb Drive at a signalized intersection. Three vendors submitted bids bids as follows:
Best Construction LLC $1,300,000.00
Great Construction, Inc. $1,700,000.00
USA Construction Company $2,600,000.00
RECOMMENDATION/REQUESTED ACTION: Public Works and Purchasing have reviewed the bids and recommend the bid award to the lowest bidder Best Construction LLC.
